Yesterday we held a first of its kind event at the Winterburn Studio and Foundry. The event was in collaboration with Porsche cars, with a small selection of both Porsche and Winterburn clients invited to experience the studio and full foundry process first hand, alongside canapes and drinks.
The evening was a great success with everyone attending thoroughly enjoying seeing the full process first hand, which is something that many people will never get to experience. In between the drinks and canapés, guided tours were carried out of the studio then on through the foundry showing each intricate detail from creation of the artworks all the way through the lost wax process. Then for the grand finale the whole group gathered to spectate in the foundry for a live bronze pour, which is always an awe inspiring and show stopping affair.
The catering and drinks were also collaborative with both food and drink being local Yorkshire based companies. Apron Strings of Hedon covered the food with amazing canapes and a fresh cooked risotto and for drinks we had Shivering Mountain Gin company bringing their superb alcohol and partnering tonics. Both companies really showcased their forms of art, their presence really made the evening complete bringing a really authentic and warm atmosphere but with the highest quality imaginable.
Our local Porsche dealership, Porsche centre hull brought two of the new electric Taycan models that they are launching officially later this month. These new models are absolutely gorgeous and seeing them sat gracefully alongside some Winterburn garden sculptures seemed very fitting, with the cars being a work of art in their own right.
All in all there was something for everyone at this event and it was such a great atmosphere from start to finish. Thank you so much to everyone involved and to those who attended, it was an honour for the Winterburn family to host such an event and we are very excited for the next.
