After many years of seeing leopards whilst working in wildlife conservation in Africa, Steve quickly learned how illusive this beautiful cat really is. This sculptures name has a double-barrelled meaning, one of which is the patience it required over many years and multiple trips to get treasured moments with them, but also as a characteristic of the Leopard. The way they stalk their prey and hunt is an artform, seeing this first-hand mesmerised Steve and this piece is a result of that. He has sculpted the leopard poised with tension, in a stealth like crouch patiently waiting for its moment to strike, its an expression of an image that is burned into his head from experiencing a hunt on a trip he had to Kenya.
