It was an absolute honour for us to see our monumental tiger head sculpture at Welford Road stadium in being used as a centre piece for the Leicester Tigers pre-game remembrance day parade.
It has been a year to the day since our sculpture was unveiled at the stadium with an amazing ceremony. The monument celebrates the lives of the 54 Leicester Tigers players who lost their lives in conflict and is to showcase the longstanding links with the armed services, between the Leicestershire Regiment and the tigers since 1880. This makes it the ideal backdrop for parades like today which will hopefully be the first of many in the future, which is an honour for us as a family to be able to represent such a great cause.
As a rugby loving family the day would’ve been rounded off nicely with a win for the Tigers but unfortunately it wasn’t to be, but we would like to thank everyone at Leicester for putting on such a great parade of Remembrance Day and for showcasing our art alongside as a backdrop, it means the world.
