This last Friday, as part of the world-famous Defender Burghley Horse Trials we had the honour of collaborating on an evening event at The William Cecil Hotel on the grounds of Burghley House in Stamford.
Under the setting sun, The William Cecil and it’s amazing gardens were the perfect backdrop, setting the scene for an amazing evening of horses, sculpture and lovely food supplied by Milly’s Bistro.
Steve Winterburn was exhibiting a collection of 10 equestrian pieces, launching the new “Free Spirit” sculpture in bronze alongside some WIP with him sculpting live for the audience to experience and engage. Beside the artwork for the evening, were 2 Olympians and members of equestrian royalty; Pippa Funnel and William Fox-Pitt. They were both interviewed and discussed their lives and illustrious careers.
