We are very excited to announce that today we have just installed the 9ft monumental horse sculpture Free Spirit, Steve Winterburn’s latest big project, at Burghley House ahead of this weeks Burghley Horse Trials.
The sculpture adorns the members Lawn situated just down from the famous scoreboard, between the Members Lounge and the Defender stand, with Burghley House as a jaw dropping back drop!
We are very excited to have the sculpture at the trials in collaboration with equestrian royalty, Pippa Funnel. The sculpture placement is a platform to launch an exciting new journey for Steve and Pippa, working together to raise awareness for horse welfare and will be looking to work long into the future with charitable outlooks too.
Earlier in the year Free Spirit was a show stopper at Royal Ascot attracting a lot of attention and becoming a landmark for photo opportunities at the event, we hope it has the same reception this week at the famous Defender Burghley Horse Trials.
